There's an ever increasing choice of bars & restaurants and the villas and apartments here blend perfectly with the original white-washed fishing village of Luz.

The attractive promenade runs alongside the beach from the Old Fort past the Roman ruins almost to the base of Black Rock and during the busier months hosts a variety of stalls to browse. The long flat sandy beach is ideal for sunbathing and children love to investigate the rocks and rock pools.

Ideal for families and couples, this elegant resort offers a relaxing holiday ambience with beautiful cliff top walks to nearby Lagos and Burgau.

The historic city of Lagos is only 6km away and is becoming an increasingly sophisticated resort with massive investment in the marina and waterfront areas. There's a great choice of restaurants and bars in Lagos throughout the year and a real buzz in the summer months. It's also particularly interesting as Lagos is a working Portuguese town with an active fishing port and the local culture and way of life are evident all around.

There's a frequent bus service between Salema - Burgau - Luz - Lagos with a bus stop just around the corner from the villa. Local taxis also offer competitive rates.

Both Lisbon and Seville are possible day trips by car and trips to the pretty mountain spa of Monchique and the historic town of Silves with its old cathedral, castle and walls are recommended.

Typical Algarve holiday activities are all available locally or within a short drive including Lagos Zoo, walking, cycling, horse riding, health and fitness centres and spas, Dolphin spotting and interaction, various boat charters, diving, deep sea fishing, off road motor sports, mountain biking and a variety of watersports such as wind surfing, surfing, body boarding, kayaking. The new Grand Prix motor racing circuit at Portimao is 15 minutes drive and offers the opportunity not only to spectate but also participate.

Last, but certainly not least, there is golf:  with Boavista golf complex less than five minutes drive and many more including the new Faldo course at the Amendoeria Golf Resort within 30 minutes.
